Show Summer Festival At U of U Three Top Broadway Stars- Three of Broadway's top singirig stars John Druary, Beverly Sills and Garnell have been chosen to sing the leads in this season's Summer Festival at the University Univer-sity of Utah July 6 to 18, according accord-ing to Gail Fummer, manager. The Festival will include Victor Hebert's gay, colorful operetta, "Naughty Marietta," July 6 thru 11, and Verdi's popular opera, "La Traviata," July 15 through 18. A cast of more than 100 actors, singers and ballet dancers wall appear in each production, Mr. Plummer said. A huge stage 100 feet wide is being constructed for the Festival, and banks of lights are being installed to obtain special spec-ial lighting effects, he explained. Dramatic director of the Festival Festi-val will be Dr. C. Lowell Lees. Musical director will be Maurice Abravanel, and choreographer will be William F. Christensen. This I will be the fourth year this out standing trio of artists has worked work-ed together on the Summer Festival. Festi-val. The dancing will be a special feature of this summer's program, Mr. Plummer explained. Sally Bailey and other nationally-known ballet stars will up with the University Uni-versity Eallet group to pel-form the colorful dances for which "Naughty Marietta" & "La Traviata" Trav-iata" are famous. The productions, as in former years, will be presented in the open-air "Theatre under the stars," at the north end of the University Stadium Bowl. Prices Pri-ces for season tickets range from $1.50 for general admission to $3 for right and left center, and 55 for the center section," with backrest seats.
