Show Miss Lois Shepard returned home this week from Salt Lake City, where she hs been employed. Mrs. Clara Muir entertained the members of the Mothers club at her home on Thursday. A large crowd was in attendance at the wedding reception in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bates (Vivian Madsen), Thursday night at the Alpine gym. The young couple were married Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents in Pro-vo, Pro-vo, by Bishop Edward W. Burgess. They will make their home in Provo. Joseph Marsh returned Saturday from a two weeks' trip made in company com-pany with his son, M. T. Marsh, who is a salesman for the A. J. Elg-gren Elg-gren and Sons Company of Salt Lake City. They motored through Idaho and Montana, and went as far as Cardston and the L. D. S. temple, in Canada. They report that the section through which they traveled is a beautiful country, well-watered well-watered and with wonderful crops. Alpine News Mrs. Warren V. Clark, Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Golden Burris and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas of Magna were visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Clark. The marriage of Miss L. Dean Terry and darbourne Parry of Bluffdale took place Saturday, September Sep-tember 21, at Bluffdale. Mrs. Frank Strong spent-several days this week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Darrow Turner, at Heber City. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Bateman and Miss Louise Bateman and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Keller returned home Sunday after spending the past week in California. Mrs. Estella Hyde of Salt Lake City visited several days with relatives rela-tives in Alpine. |
