Show New Officers Sustained In Ward, Auxiliary Reorganizations of the Alpine stake Sunday School superinten-cy superinten-cy and the First ward bishopric were completed Sunday, when officers were released and their successors duly sustained. Ernest J. Seastrand was sustained sustain-ed as bishop of the First ward, with, E. Ray Gardner and Darrell Proctor Proc-tor as his counselors, at a ward conference con-ference Sunday night. T. A. Greenwood, who has served as bishop for the past 13 years and as a member of the bishopric for 29 years, was released, as were his counselors, O. C. Mercer and S. F. Grant. Walter B. Devey was presented as stake Sunday School superintendent, at a union meeting of that organization organiza-tion Sunday at the stake tabernacle. Jesse W. Spafford and Wayne E. Chadwick were presented as first and second assistants, respectively. The new Sunday School superin-tendency superin-tendency will succeed E. Vernon Holindrake, the outgoing superintendent, superin-tendent, and Kenneth Singleton and Raymond Monson, his assistants. The two reorganizations followed closely after a change in the Alpine stake Mutual Improvement association, associa-tion, in which Leo G. Meredith was named as superintendent of the Young Men's, with Joseph F. Walton Wal-ton and Glen L. Taylor as first and second assistants; and Miss Edith Thornton as president of the Young Women's, with Miss Mary Pulley and Miss Ellen Walker, as first and second counselors, respectively. The new M. I. A. officers succeed Clarence A. Grant, Stanley Peters and E. H. Boley, of the Young Men's superintendency; and Mrs. May Halliday, Mrs. Hannah Aydelotte and Miss Edith Thornton of the Young Women's presidency. o |
