Show Beautification Project Makes Favorable Transformation In Stake Seminary Appearance One of the first church and community com-munity beautification projects attempted at-tempted by the local committee was recently completed at the Timpano-gos Timpano-gos stake seminary. The floor of the class room has been refinished to a state of shining shin-ing beauty. The windows have been hung with decorative linen draperies, adding a more cheerful note to the room. In the office the dark woodwork has been painted light ivory, as has the newly-built supply cabinet. Colorful draperies and harmonious carpeting have transformed the barren bar-ren room, giving it a friendly comfortable com-fortable atmosphere. In the early spring a plan for the redecoration of the building was made, following a tour of inspection by the executive members of the beautification committee. At the same time the church landscape arhitect, Irvin Nelson of Salt Lake, supplied a plan for the landscaping of the grounds. This plan will be carried out in the coming spring. The expense of the redecoration of the building is being met jointly by the department of church education at Salt Lake, and by the local church board through the bishops of the six wards of Timpanogos stake. The reiinisnmg of the floor was done by Caretaker Rhodin Christiansen. The work of building the supply cabinet and painting of cabinet and woodwork, wood-work, was contributed by William C. Smith, principal of the Seminary. The public is invited to call and see the pleasing changes which have been made. n 1 |
