Show Defered Payment Plan To Aid Farmers Wheat growers of Utah county who are not in a position to pay the first installment on the three-year three-year crop insurance contract under the federal crop insurance plan were informed this week that premiums pre-miums may be paid in any amounts until August 15, 1943, or at that time they may be deducted from AAA payments. W. R. Holman, chairman of the county AAA committee, said that applicants for three-year " contracts will sign a non-interest bearing note which will be a part of the application form. The first premium installment for the 1943 may be paid in the cash equivalent of wheat on or before the due date. Payments made in cash before the due date will be based on the market mar-ket price for wheat as of the date the payment is made. Premiums paid after August 15 are payable on the basis of the cash equivalent of wheat on that date. Instead of paying premiums in cash, farmers may elect to have the amount of the premiums deducted de-ducted from any indemnities, any payments due them under the AAA program or from the proceeds of commodity loans. Mr. Holman urged all wheat growers of Utah county to include crop insurance as a part of their 1943 farming operation. Applications Applica-tions will be accepted in the county AAA office until September 30, 1942 on farms where the winter wheat is grown and until March 15, 1943 on farms where only spring wheat is seeded. Every farmer should safeguard his food production machinery by insuring his wheat crop, since a crop failure or severe crop loss may greatly reduce or stop altogether alto-gether the farmer's ability to reach food produtcion goals for his farm, the AAA farm leader said. |
