Show Local Items Edward Wilson of the United States army is visiting this week with his mother, Mrs. Florence Wilson of Orem. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Johnson and Mrs. Ellen Hogan of Salt Lake City and Miss Edna M. Holcomb of Los Angeles were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hilton on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson and sons Royal and Joe of this city and Mr. and Mrs. Stustrup and littel daughter Kay of McGill, Nev., left Wednesday morning for a week's vacation at Fish lake. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson Miss Dorothy Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nelson, of this city, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Edwards of Provo were Salt Lake City visitors on Tuesday Tues-day when they attended the funeral fune-ral of Benjamin F. Shaffer in the Windsor ward chapel. Mr. Shaffer will be remembered by many people here, his wife being the former Mary Mayhew Nelson, I mother of Raymond Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Brinkerhoff and son Joseph left Wednesday morning for their home in Bicknell after visiting with Mrs. Brinker-hoff's Brinker-hoff's mother, Mrs. J. K. Allen, her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hilton and other relatives. Mrs. J. K. Allen accompanied accom-panied the Brinkerhoffs to their home where she will spend some time. A jolly crowd of young ladies enjoyed the vast outdoors, Sunday and Monday when they motored to American Fork and pitched a tent at the cave camp and proceeded pro-ceeded to grasp from nature all enjoyment possible. On Monday they made a hike to the Timpanogos Timpano-gos cave" and that evening returned to their home. The group included Miss Dorothy Ann . Nelson, Miss Ruth Beck, Miss Doris Peay, Miss Donna May Marrott, Miss Elma Walker and Miss Lois Boulter. |
