Show Navy To Be Represented The United States navy will have an exhibit of public interest at the Provo Independence day celebration cele-bration on Saturday, Lieut. R. W. Schlecht, officer in .charge of the Salt Lake recruiting district, announced. an-nounced. Besides taking part in the military parade, the navy is arranging a booth of exhibits. "While it will not be possible to display the navy's biggest guns," Lieut. Schlecht said, "the public will have an opportunity to see a torpedo, bombs, rifles and many other implements of modern war." He said several navy men-o'-wars-men will be on dcek to give information infor-mation on various items the public will be privileged to see. Several reels of motion pictures will also be shown. The films will include. "American Sea Power," "Eyes of the Navy," and "Submarines at Sea." The navy extends a cordial in-itation in-itation to the public to come aboard the exhibit. Navy officers will be present to welcome every person. "We want every man, woman and child in Utah to become better ac-uainted ac-uainted with America's "first line of defense," the "skipper" said. He pointed out that many probably would want information about the various educational program offered by the navy, and gave assurance that those visiting the display could avail themselves of this opportunity. |
