Show 'Kip' Young Wins Harvard Honors For Scholarship Clifford E. Young Jr. of American Fork, son of President and Mrs. Clifford E. Young, was one of fifteen second-year students of the Harvard University business school selected as George F. Baker .Scholars, in recognition of scholastic excellence. Selection of the George F. Baker scholars was announced in an article in the Harvard Business School Alumni Bulletin for February. The article follows: FIFTEEN STUDENTS DESIGNATED BAKER SCHOLARS In recognition of .their scholastic , achievements, fifteen second-year students at the Business School have been designated as George F. Baker Scholars. These men are the second to receive the honor of being named as Baker scholars, the award having been given for the first time last year. In 1925 George F. Baker gave the funds required to erect the Business School buildings; therefore Business School buildings; therefore the Faculty of the School considered consider-ed it appropriate that the honor conferred con-ferred upon the outstanding scholars of the School should bear his name. Selections for the award were made upon the basis of scholastic excellence. Each man received a personal letter of commendation from Dean Donham and was his guest at a special dinner at the Faculty Fac-ulty Club. After the mid-year examinations, ex-aminations, other selections will be made. o |
