Show Lifelong Resident Paid Last Tribute At Services Here The community paid last respects to one of its oldest and best-respected residents, James Boyer Conder, at impressive funeral services Sun-1 day afternoon in the First ward chapel. BishoD Ernest J. Seastrand offic- iated at the services. Speakers were James T. Gardner, former bishop of I the First ward, and Warren F. Anderson. An-derson. A biographical sketch was read by Mrs. Mary E. Abel, and Bishop Seastrand spoke briefly. The opening prayer was offered by Earl S. Greenwood, and the benediction was pronounced by Lot Robinson. Musical numbers included a vocal solo, "Link Divine," by Darrell Wan-lass, Wan-lass, with piano accompaniment by Mrs. Mary Humphries and violin accompaniment ac-companiment by Norma. Durrant and Milton Brown; a violin duet, "One Fleeting Hour," by Milton Brown and Norma Durrant; a vocal duet, "Whispering Hope," by Beth Cook and Darrell Wanlass; and a vocal solo, "Going Home," by Ray E. Shelley. Mrs. Mary Humphries played the piano accompaniment for 'the selections. The grave in the American Fork cemetery was dedicated by Elmer Swett. |
