This time it's something so new, novel and grand no one in American Fork can afford to miss it. Why? Well because it's free and because it's the children and what the children chil-dren have done during the summer months. Now what can it be? It's the Children's Handicraft exhibit and dance festival in the basement of the tabernacle. The exhibit will be open all afternoon after-noon and evening and dance festival festi-val will take place at 8 p. m. Everyone Every-one is invited and assured it will be worth their while to come and see what has been accomplished. Under the supervision of Miss Lue Groesbeck assisted by Mrs. Ellen Tracy, Mrs. Hazel Wimmer. Mrs. Inez McDonald and John Abel class- es in handcraft and dancing have been conducted in each of the four wards for the past three months. Approximately 300 boys and girls have participated in these activities. And what is more dear to a child than an article he has made himself? him-self? Sewing, flower making, leather braiding, hand painted hankies, bolero jackets and neckerchiefs, pictures pic-tures hammered in board, Snow Whites and all the Dwarfs 'more than seven) have been made by the children. Now all are busy wearing beautiful pillow tops and scarfs. These things will all be on display at the exhibit with each child's name attached to his article. The children are proud of their handcraft articles and anxious for their parents and friends to see them, so be sure and plan to attend. Watch for more news of this big entertainment next week. |
