Show Last Tribute To Joseph Okey Paid At Services Here Funeral services for Joseph Moroni Moro-ni Okey, 83, were held Sunday, August Au-gust 7, in the American Fork First L D S. ward chapel. Mr. Okey, a long-time resident of this city, died the preceding Wednesday, of causes incident to age. Speakers at the services were James T. Gardner, former bishop of the First ward; Principal E. Ray Gardner of the American Fork Seminary, Sem-inary, a neighbor and friend; and Bishop T. A. Greenwood. Musical numbers included a violin solo by George Reimschiissel, accompanied accom-panied by Miss Betha Storrs; selections selec-tions by a male quartet; and a vocal duet by LaDocia Wagstaff and Clara Rhodes. . Mr Okey was born March 27, I800, at Salt Lake City, a son of Edwin and Mary Pitt Okey. He married Cynthia Adams, April 29, 1890. He engaged in farming here for many yesurviving are three sons, LeRoy, Kenneth and Clyde Okey, and a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Schreibei 8 grandchildren, -and one greatgiand- child. |
