Show 1 j Ore Hauling Commences From American Fork Mining District This week marked the commencing of ore hauling from the American Fork canyon .mining district. The Yankee Mines company, the most consistent shipper of the district, put on seven teams yesterday and some additional help in the mine. The Pacific Gold Mining and Milling Co. are arranging for shipment of a mill dump and mine high grade ore. Tankee Operation Extensive The operations at the Yankee property this year will be quite extensive. ex-tensive. For the past thirty days nine miners have been at the property getting the mine, mill and other equipment in order. Yesterday additional addi-tional men, wSth Manager G. K Adams, went to the property which will now go into full production. Work and ore hauling will continue thru the entire season, Mr. Adams announced. More men and additional addition-al teams will be put to work as fast as conditions will permit. The entire canyon road is now cleared of snow, the last road slide in the gulch being removed this week. The recent heavy rain washed the road out at Van's dugway but this has already been repaired so passage can be made and in a few days per-minent per-minent repairs will have been made. A forco of miners are now driving the tunnel forward on the drift of mill-high grade vein, another crew are putting the mill in shape for early operation and two men are repairing the tailings pond. Arrangement has been made with" the smelter people to handle the ore and their engineer was at the propv erty Wednesday making assays and-cheeking and-cheeking with the mine management on the amount of ore available.
