Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Russon and family have moved from the Fourth ward into the Chipman Apartments in the Second ward. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Scott and family fami-ly were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Humphries at the home in Salt .Lake City last Wednesday. John F. Miller and three daughters, daught-ers, were among the out o town visitors who attended the funeral services of Thadeous Powell held in Lehi last Friday. Mrs. Chris Christensen and daughters, daught-ers, Donna and LaRue, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Howard of Salt) Lake City, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Len-ard Len-ard Haag last Tuesday. Mrs. Oscar Chipman and children, Kenneth and Vivian, of Denver, are visiting in American Fork and Salt Lake City with relatives. Mrs. Chip-man Chip-man and family will return to Denver during the next week. Mrs. Pete Condor accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greenwood, who are here from Los Angeles visiting relatives, spent Tuesday at the A. B. Adam's ranch visiting Pete Condor, who is employed there. Charles; Burgess of California accompanied ac-companied by his son-in-law of Nebraska, Ne-braska, called at the Ervin Makin home last week enroute to Burley, Idaho, where they were taking the body of Mr. Burgess's wife, who died in California, for funeral services. Quentin Greenwood is leaving next Tuesday, June 25 for New York City where he will be engaged in research work in the Bell Telephone Labora-. tories. Mr. Greenwood was among the recent graduating class from the Brigham Young University, receiving his B. S. degree. He will leave in company with Glen Peterson, another B. Y. TJ. student. Mrs. Foster Nicholes arrived here Tuesday from Long Beach, California, Califor-nia, where she and her family have been for the past several months on account of the health of her little daughter, Kathei'ine, and will remain until next week. Charles Webb, Frank Fea! and Thomas Nicholes of River-ton, River-ton, attended the dedication of the great highway bridge at Grand Canyon Can-yon Bridge, Arizona, last Friday. The ceremonies accompanying the opening open-ing of the bridge were renewed in full force the following day, (Saturday). (Satur-day). The bridge links T'tah and Arizona Ari-zona and overcomes the hitherto Impassable Im-passable highway barrier formed by the Grand Canyon of the Colorado. It is reported that approximately six thousand Ilopis, Xavajos and ordinary ordi-nary tourists assembled there for the festivities incidental to the dedication of the span.
