Show Fine Ore Body Opened At Royston Mine Local Leasers Make Important Discovery in Nevada District A full face of ore has been opened at the property of the Royston Coal-ation Coal-ation mines company located 28 miles from Tonopah, Nevada, according ac-cording to a report released this week by E. A. Rogers, official of the company. The ore was encountered en-countered by Lessees Willard Cleg-horn Cleg-horn and V. F. Houston of American Fork, in a drift driven from the incline shaft, and extending through the fault which traverses the property. prop-erty. The orebody is in a sulphide formation which is an 'encouraging indication due to the fact that the history of the district discloses that this particular formation is productive pro-ductive of substantial gold and silver sil-ver values. A shipment from the strike is expected to be made within the next two or three weeks. "We believe that -we have picked up the extension -at depth of the original vein from "which ore was taken a number of years ago and the new discovery convinces us that the ore in that particular property is found on both sides of four major faults which occur there;" Mr. Rogers Rog-ers stated. More definite information informa-tion relative to the size and -values of the new orebody will be available avail-able in the near future. The company, which is listed on the Salt Lake Stock Exchange, controls con-trols six patented claims which produced pro-duced a million dollars -gross from 1912 to 1922. In 1934 some work was done by lessees and a small shipment of ore made contained values from $18 to $31 per ton, according ac-cording to Mr. Rogers. The present operations were started April 15, 1937. J o I |
