Show Mrs. Lillian Booth and Miss Lu-cile Lu-cile Booth spent the week-end in Spanish Fork visiting with Dr. and Mrs. G. A. Brockbank. Mrs. J. T. Aurbun and children of Bountiful, spent last week in American Amer-ican Fork visiting at the R. L. Ash-by Ash-by home. Owen Humphries, Frank Humphries Hum-phries and their father, S. S. Humphries Hum-phries of Provo, spent the week-end at Pine Dale, Wyoming, fishing. Mrs. Annie Richards ' of San Diego, California, is visiting indefinitely indefi-nitely at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Mower. Mrs. Richards is Mrs. Mower's aunt. Mr. and Mrs. John E. Walker have purchased the Nellie Wagstaff home in the Third ward. They moved into their new home the end of the week. The Sewing Bees, 4-H Club, met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Miss Jean Okey. Talks were given ' by Mama Bailey and Pearl Mech-am. Mech-am. Games were played, after which lunch was served. Mrs. Alphonzo Chipman arrived home the later part of the week after having spent the past two months in Appleton, Wisconsin, visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Russell Whitman, and her family. Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Kitchen and family moved into their home on South Center street the first part of the week. The house was formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Monson. Am. Fork Locals Mrs. George Hoofman left on Friday Fri-day for Denver, Colorado, where she will visit with friends. Mrs. Lawrence Hutchings spent Wednesday in Salt Lake visiting with her children and their families. Dr. and Mrs. K. E. Noyes returned return-ed Friday from a two weeks trip. "While they were away they spent three days visiting Zions, Bryces and the Grand Canyon of the Colorado, Colo-rado, the remainder of the time "was spent in Los Angeles. Mrs. Wesley Porter of Roselle Park, New Jersey, arrived in American Ameri-can Fork Wednesday for an indefinite indefi-nite visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Ashby. Mrs. Porter was Miss Mary Ashby before her marriage. mar-riage. . . Mrs. R. L. Ashby returned home Tuesday after having spent the past ten days in Los Angeles, California. While there Mrs. Ashby visited with Miss Eda Ashby and her brother, A. I. Tippits, who are both attending attend-ing summer school at the University of Southern California. She also visited with Dr. and Mrs. Harold Hindley and Miss Arvilla Devey. Miss Ruth Holdsworth Is spending two weeks in Magna visiting at the home of Mrs. M. F. Orr. Miss Shirley Salm is a visitor at the Thomas Hunter home this week. She is the guest of Miss LaVee Hunter. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dowdle announce an-nounce the arrival of a baby boy. The infant was born Monday, June 28th. Mrs. Leo Meredith and Mrs. M. L. Baird attended a luncheon in Salt Lake Monday In honor of the birthday birth-day of Mrs. Fitzgerald. Mrs. Fitzgerald Fitz-gerald is Mrs. Merediths aunt. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Masters of Bingham Canyon, spent Sunday in American Fork visiting with Mrs. June S. Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Thayne and family left Wednesday for Los Angeles, California, to make their home. Mr. Thayne will be employed employ-ed there- Shlrley Brown, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adin Brown of Alpine, Al-pine, had her tonsils removed on Monday. Dr. Gf. S. Richards performed per-formed the operation. Mrs. June S. Wright entertained the members of the School Chums Club Thursday afternoon at her home. The afternoon was spent in doing needle work and in social chat. Special guests included Hazel Shelley, Millie Anderson, Lyle Grant, Martha H. Chipman and Mrs. Mabel Frazee and son Howard How-ard of Los Angeles, and Miss Hannah Han-nah Barratt of Salt Lake spent Saturday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Olson. Mrs. Charles Crane of Pueblo, Colorado, has spent the past ten days in American Fork visiting with Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Stice. Several parties and family gatherings gath-erings and outings have been given the past week in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cunningham of Seattle, Washington, who have been visiting here for several days. Saturday evening a group of friends and relatives of the couple enjoyed dancing at Pine Crest Inn in Em-migration Em-migration canyon. They were the dinner din-ner guests that evening of Mrs. S. G. Carter at her home In Provo. Tuesday evening friends and relatives rela-tives formed a party and motored to the Old Mill Club for dancing. Under the direction of tho Sunshine Sun-shine committee of tho Fourth ward Relief Society the members held a Sunshine party Monday in honor of Mrs. Hannah Robinson at her home here. Mrs. Robinson, who is 80 years old, related incidents inci-dents of her early lire in England and some of her experiences In the lace factory in which sho worked when a young girl. Refreshments were served by the committee In charge. Thursday afternoon Mrs. Mary Humphries entertained tho members mem-bers of the H. B. Club at a canyon party.
