Show Provo Timps Take Big Step Toward Second Half Championship CENTRAL UTAH LEAGUE W. L. PCt. Provo O1-00 American Fork 1 2 -33 Tintic 1 2 -33:5 Helper 1 3 -250 The Provo Timps took a big step toward the Central Utah league championship for the second half by taking both ends of a double header from the American Fork Cavemen, 7 tc 3 and 10 to 9. The Pioneer Day games provided plenty of thrills. The opening encounter en-counter at the home lot found Huck Dyer on the mound for the Timps. He allowed but nine hits and three runs, while the Timps. connected 18 times with the offerings of Kenneth Mott, the Cavemen hurler. The American Fork team was minus the services of Marshal Dur-rant Dur-rant and Rags Ingersoll. The outstanding hitting of Nelson was one of the features of the game. Colvin sent across the only home run of the game. Addie Miller, the Cavemen ace, took the slab for the second game in Provo, but he was unable to hold an early lead gain off Lefty Cole, the Provo hurler.
