Interesting Program At Lions Club Meeting A very interesting meeting was held by the local Lions club Thursday Thurs-day evening. In addition to Dr. Richard's report a musical prqgram ms onjoyed and former District Secretary Joseph F. Walton made b. splendi'd report on his trip and the L:ons National convention held in I Kentucky to which he went as a dele-j dele-j gate from American Fork. Mrs. Mae Haliday rendered two solos and Miss Alvira Devey gave a reading. Considerable fun was had when a novel joke was sprung on Tailtwister 1 Holmstead. A gong was arranged and " every time "Hap" spoke this was sounded and rounds 1, 2, 3, etc. announced. an-nounced. Finally a telegram arrived which when read was a challenge to "Hap" Holmstead for a ten round bout from Jack Dempsey- News of "Haps" fistic encounter at the local ball park on the 24th had evidently leaked out. n
