Show American Fork News Alpine Stake Mutuals Have Successful Opening Nights', Well carried out in every lletail were the opening night socials held Tuesday in the various wards of Alpine Al-pine Stake, the event being the opening open-ing of the M. I. A. for the season. Of special interest was the elaborate elabo-rate representative wedding ceremony, cere-mony, suggesting the uniting of the Improvement Era and the Young SV'omans Journal. This ceremony was conducted in each ward, and following follow-ing the ceremony, wedding cake was served to all present- The First ward social was held in their meeting house- In addition to the wedding an interesting program was given and a watermelon bust enjoyed. The Second ward's program was in the basement of the Tabernacle, and dancing waa featured following the Era and Journal wedding and an additional program. . Dancing was enjoyed by the Third warders in the High School Gym, following the outlined reception pro- gram. In addition to a Mothers and Daughters pageant and the Story Book Wedding, the Fourth ward entertained en-tertained their members with refreshments, re-freshments, games and additional program numbers. A large attendance was present in each ward, and judging from this, a successful M. I. A. season is anticipated. antici-pated. n |
