Show 811 Register In Grade Schools: 284 In High School The 1929-30 school term opened with a bang Monday" morning at 9 a. m., au'd from principals' and teachers' teach-ers' reports, everything is lined up for a banner year. L. B. Adamson, grammar grades principal, says that enrollment in the grades is better than it has ever been. A total of 811 was in school the first day, the First grade having 120 of that number. The various other classes class-es follow: Second, 11S; Third, 108; Fourth 94; Fifth, 93; Sixth, 108; Seventh, 88; and Eighth, 82. From the high school comes the report that only 2S4 are registered at the present time, but it is expected that a great many more will enroll during the coming week, as some students are engaged in farm and factory work at the present time. The teachers are all enthusiastic over the year's outlined work, and the students all seemed happy to again be in school. Regular class work began Tuesday Tues-day morning. o |
