The Relief Society of the Second ward held a quilting and social Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at the home of Bishop B. II. Adams. Miss Miriam Kirk who is employed at the Murray Hospital, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Kirk. Mr. and Mrs. William Cullimora and family of Garland, have spent the past two weeks with relatives and friends here- Mrs. Thomas Jacobs arrived home Friday from the Provo Hospital, where she recently underwent an operation for appendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. C. J-j- Wright and Mrs. J. D. Thorne visited Tuesday evening with Mrs. Thomas Jacobs at the Provo Hospital. Monday, where Miss Dorothy will attend school the coming winter. Mrs. Ella Halliday, who has spent the past summer with relatives In California, is visiting indefinitely with Tleasant Grove relatives. Word has been received by relatives rela-tives of the birth of a baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walker at the L. D. S. Hospital Tuesday evening. Mrs. D. O. Allen has returned to her home in Provo canyon, after visit ing with her daughter and son-in. law, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Cox, in this city. The Utah Co. employees of the Utah Power and Light Co. held their regular summer outing at Geneva Wednesday. Local employees were in attendance.
