Show Flower Show of Timpanogos Stake Relief Societies To Be Held Thurs. Sept. 19 Every home in the Timpanogos Stake should if possible send at least one bouquet of flowera to the Stake Relief Society Flower Show, which will be held at the High School Gym, Thursday, September 19. Ward committees will call at everyone's home early in the week to invite all to aid in selecting the best flowers available for displays. But if anyone should happen to not be at home, or not get the word that they are invited to come, they are asked to bring their nicest basket or vase and prettiest pret-tiest flowers. There will be a department de-partment for the Primary children, Junior girls, a general department and one for ol'd folks over 60 years of age. Arrange the flowers each kind by itself and do not crowd the flowers. If anyone has an especially fine specimen of any flower, display that alone- Make the bouquets just as artistic as can be. There will bo room to display all fine specimens of house plants. All available good specimens of wild flowers, such as asters, golden-rod, Indian paiut brush, sun flowers, sego lilies or other oth-er well known varities will be displayed, dis-played, if attractive containers are used. Last year some of the very finest specimens did not receive prizes because of too many kinds of flowers were used to form bouquets. Bring one or a dozen bouquets and come out and see what your neighbors neigh-bors are doing with their flower gardens. |
