Show U Deer Control Plan I Discussed At Meet Plans for reducing over-grazing and congestion of deer in several Utah county districts was discussed by representatives from every city in the county, at a meeting of Wild Life Federation members and city officials at the Riverside Cafe in Provo Wednesday night. Representing American Fork were . Karl Bennett, city recorder; and Milton Adams and Kenneth Nielsen, Wild Life Federation officers. Among the areas which the federation fed-eration will approve opening for a regulated deer kill is the Timpanogos Timpan-ogos district. Opening of other sections sec-tions where deer are numerous also may be recommended, in order to eliminate over-grazing. James E. Gurr, supervisor of Wasatch National Forest, was a principal speaker at the meeting. He discussed forest problems, and control of the deer herds. Provo city officials reported on a project for improving the harbor at the mouth of Provo river, as a recreational rec-reational development. A CCC camp is moving in to do this work, and also to take care of other projects on the shores of Utah lake. i n |
