Show Pleasant Grove Locals Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bradley spent Memorial day in Spanish Fork and Santaquin. Mrs. Pearl Wadley entertained at a shower in honor of Eunice Bird, whose approaching marriage to La-Vere La-Vere J. Wadley has been announced. Thirty were in attendance. Harvey of Salt Lake City were Memorial day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Fugal. Mr. and Mrs. William C. Smith went to Ogden Wednesday and visited Mr. Smith's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Smith. I Mr. and Mrs. W. Carlyle Larsen and family of Garfield spent the week-end visiting Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Larsen. The Primary stake board met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Mametta Johnson to complete plans for attendance at the June convention of the organization. Mrs. Joseph Galli and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Galli of Midway visited Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Fugal. All the daughters of Mrs. Inez Olpin were present at a family gathering gath-ering in her honor, Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Lacey White. Attending Attend-ing were Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Hansen Han-sen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Valton Mortenson of Ephraim, Mr. and Mrs. Ace Boulter of Price, and Mrs. Owen Ash and Mrs. White of Pleasant Grove. Memorial day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Green were Mr. and Mrs. Gene McCand-less McCand-less of Eureka. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Fugal plan to -attend graduation exercises at the Utah State Agricultural college Monday evening, when their son, Gene, will receive his degree. Gene also will graduate from the L. D. S. Institute at Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Green and family of Salt Lake City spent Memorial day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Green. Mr. and Mrs. Will Halliday of Shelley, Idaho, have been here a week, at the J. W. Halliday home. While here they have visited friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Peterson of Denver, Colorado, visited Mrs. Oral Wright, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Harper returned re-turned Wednesday from Blackfoot, Idaho, where they spent Memorial day visiting with relatives. Hazel Kendleberry of Blackfoot returned with them, for a week or ten days' stay. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Green are planning to attend the Utah State Agricultural college commencement exercises Sunday and Monday, when their son. David, will receive his degree. They will be accompanied by Mrs. Elizabeth Ferguson and Miss Carol Hatch of Provo. Mrs. G. W. Larsen spent Friday in Salt Lake City, on business. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Royle have returned from Monticello, and are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Peay. They will make their home in Lehi, in the near future. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Atkinson of Salt Lake City entertained in honor of the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Wesley Jense, at a party Tuesday afternoon at the canyon glen, in Provo canyon. Mrs. Atkinson had prepared a lunch, which was enjoyed enjoy-ed at the canyon spot. A big birthday birth-day cake, with candles, centered the table. Attending besides the guest of honor and host and hostess were DeAnn and Bobby Atkinson. Mr. and Mrs. R. Ward Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Webb and daughter JaLaine, Mrs. Clara Webb and Dick Webb of Lehi, and Gary Jense. |
