Show Last Rites For Mrs. Barratt In Charleston Sun. Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Ann Shelley Wagstaff Barratt were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Charleston ward chapel by Bishop Wayne Whiting. Interment was in the Charleston cemetery, directed by Anderson Brothers mortuary. Mrs. Barratt died Thursday at her home here, of causes incident to age. She was 75. She was born September 8, 1863, at American Fork, a daughter of William and Jane Dunn Shelley, pioneer settlers. She was married to Heber Wagstaff of this city, and they made their home in Charleston. Charles-ton. Mr. Wagstaff died in 1913, and she later married James H. Barratt of American Fork, who died several years ago. Mrs. Barratt had been prominent in church and civic affairs. At Charleston she served as postmistress postmis-tress for 19 years and as registrar for 10 years. She had been treasurer treasur-er of the Charleston ward and American Fork First ward Relief societies. Surviving are a son, Alma Wagstaff Wag-staff of 'Park City; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Thacker of Vineyard, Mrs. Lucy Casper of Charleston, Mrs. Verlie Hill of Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Ellie Fisher of Salt Lake City; a brother, David E. Shelley of American Fork; 41 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. |
