Show Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hanson of Salt Lake City spent Memorial day in Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Wilford Neves has received word of the birth of a grandchild, a daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Arlis K. Steiner of Santa Monica, California. The baby was born Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Errol Robbins of Murray were Pleasant Grove visitors on Memorial day. Joseph Adams and Mrs. Roena j Clark attended the funeral services for Miss La Von Margetts, granddaughter grand-daughter of George Margetts, Sunday Sun-day afternoon in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Berniece Coleman Miller of San Francisco made several calls on old friends in Pleasant Grove Wednesday. Wed-nesday. She and her husband have been visiting in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peck and son, Billie, of Omaha, Nebraska, visited Mrs. Anna Johnson Monday . and Tuesday. They left Wednesday for the San Francisco world's fair. Mr. . and Mrs. Malin Smith and children, Kent and Guy. of McGill, Nevada, spent last week-end visiting visit-ing Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Atwood. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Holdaway of Afton, Wyoming, and children, Jackie, Ronald and Donald, have been visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Holdaway. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peck and son. Billie, and Mrs. Anna Johnson spent Tuesday sightseeing in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jense attended at-tended a party in Provo Saturday night. Later, the group motored to the "Chicken-in-the-Rough" at Springville. where they enjoyed chicken dinner. Memorial day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Anderson were Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Anderson Ander-son and children Richard and Gloria, Glor-ia, and Mr. and Mrs. Arval Anderson Ander-son and daughter Sheryl, of Salt Lake City; and Mr. and Mrs. Eill Wheeler and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wheeler of Springville. They were here to attend funeral services for their uncle, Alma Christiansen. Louise Green has returned to her home here from Eureka, where she spent a week. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gourley and children have moved to Salt Lake City for the summer. Mrs. Effie Adams and Miss Helen Warnick are entertaining at a shower show-er Friday evening, in honor of Miss Lucy Wadley. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Peterson of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jacobs of Provo, and Henry Stoddard of Oregon were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson remained until un-til Wednesday morning. Miss Mary Jense spent the weekend, week-end, from Friday to Monday, in Logan. Mrs. Velda Swenson and baby, Darlene, and Miss Audrey Coombs, of Huntington Park, California, are visiting Mrs. Swenson's mother, Mrs. Sara West. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence D. Olpin of Salt Lake City were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Larsen on Memorial day. Mrs. Roland Jacobs of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Lau-die Lau-die of Orem were Memorial day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs. Parley Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. Von Taylor of Provo, and Mrs. Ethen Peay and children Mary Beth and David, of American Fork were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Peay Thursday. Mrs. Mary Monson and family of Salt Lake City were Pleasant Grove visitors on Memorial day. They called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Smith, and later went to American Fork canyon to attend the Monson family reunion held there. Sunday dinner gueste at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick were Mrs. C. P. Warnick and Miss Effie Warnick of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Warnick and son Peter, of Ogden. Callers during the day were Mr. and Mrs. Orin Eaird of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Carsten-son Carsten-son of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Lambert and son David, of Salt Lake City. j |
