I The Utah Poultry association plant has shipped about 32 car loads of birds, making about 80.000 turks that have been dressed by this plant in the last 18 days. This plant runs two shifts a day, each shift being about eight hours each, and at the beginning of the run about 125 people peo-ple were employed on each shift, but as the pickers have become more proficient this number has been reduced somewhat. The turkeys tur-keys that have been processed at this plant have come from this vicinity vi-cinity as well as some from Charles- , ton, Wallsburg .and Springville. Those raised south of Springville are shipped to the dressing plants at Ephraim and Moroni. It is estimated esti-mated that about 65.000 birds will be dressed for the Christmas market. |
