The ligaments were torn so badly that Mrs. Aydelotte has been unable to use the injured arm and it will be some time yet before she will regain the full use of it. Mr. and Mrs. Prank Gaisford entertained en-tertained at an attractive pheasant supper Saturday night, covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs, N. Norton and Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Norton of Provo; Mrs. A. P. Gaisford, Sr. of Lehi; the Misses Ruth and Elaine Gaisford and the host and hostess. In honor of the birthday of Mi's. Marcelle Hawkins, the girls of the N. Y. A. Sewing class, of which Mrs. Hawkins is the instructor, gave a prettily arranged luncheon last Friday. Fri-day. An attractive fall color scheme was carried out, the centerpiece being be-ing a beautifully decorated birthday cake. A delightful dinner party was given last Saturday night by Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Miss Betha Storrs is still in the hospital at Salt Lake City and is improving as well as can be expected. expect-ed. It is hoped that she will soon be able to return home. Those who attended the funeral ! services in Salt Lake City for F. M. 1 Brown were : Mr. and Mrs. Stephen ! T. Shelley, Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Noyes ; and Clyde Crookston. The Salt Lake City Firemen's Annual Benefit Ball was held last Friday night at the Cocoanut Grove in Salt Lake. Among those who attended at-tended from American Fork were: Chief and Mrs. Irving L. Pratt, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Shumway and Nel-don Nel-don Varney. Chief Pratt was pleasantly pleas-antly surprised to meet Miss Beth Blake, who sings with the Cocoanut Grove orchestra. Many American Fork people will remember Miss Blake as one of the group of "Klever Baddies" who several years ago came down and sang and danced at some of the local firemen's entertainments. The Neighborly Neighbors club met at the home of Mrs. William Roberts last Friday. A pleasant afternoon was spent in games and social chat after which a dainty luncheon was served. The Third ward budget play was presented in the High School auditorium audi-torium on Thursday afternoon and evening. A large crowd from the Third and Fourth wards enjoyed the play "Losers All." A quilting party was held at the home of Mrs. Alex Erickson last j I Wednesday. The many friends of David Davis will be pleased, to learn that he has returned, home from the hospital where he has been the past several months. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Lot Robinson was the scene of a merry dinner party last Sunday, the occasion occa-sion being Mrs. Robinson's birthday. The centerpiece for the dining table was a huge birthday cake and a delicious de-licious turkey dinner was served to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Lim of Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Jensen of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hunter, Kenneth Hunter, Mellisa Shelley, Grace Coates, May Greenwood. Green-wood. Kenneth, who had his foot badly crushed in an accident about two months iago, is able to be about on crutches. Mrs. Vern Houston entertained the Lawata club at her home on Friday afternoon. The rooms were attractively decorated in fall flowers. flow-ers. Six bridge tables of bride were played. The club prize was won by Mrs. Detta Taylor, Mrs. Edna Meredith Mere-dith won the guest prize and the consolation prize was won by Mrs. Lucille Ellison. In the later afternoon after-noon a dainty luncheon was served. Among those from out-of-town attending the funeral services for Mrs. Stephen L.
