Show Lions Enjoy Social at Alpine An interesting social event of the past week was .held in the Alpine ward house last Thursday when the Lions Club members, their partners and invited guests met for the evening. eve-ning. The address of welcome was made by Bishop Burgess of Alpine, after which the following program was enjoyed: John Kidnigh, Lion Club member of Salt Lake City, discussed dis-cussed the State Prison problems and the proposed changes being advocated ad-vocated for the segregation of the various classes of prisoners; solo, Mrs. Vein F. Houston; talk on Armistice Ar-mistice Day, Stanley Peters; organization organ-ization talk, J. C. Denton, Lions governor of District 28; piano solo, l Howard Paxman; instrumental duet, i Howard Paxman and Carl Bennett, i Leo Hanson of Lehi introduced the I speakers. Dinner was served by the ladies . of the Alpine Relief Society to the seventy-five guests present. The j balance of the evening was spent in dancing in the amusement hall. |
