Show o Recognition Won At Conference By Utah Delegates The Western regional Farm Bureau conference held at Yellowstone Yellow-stone national park, June 23, 24 and 25, was well attended by members from Utah, Mrs. Mary K. Mower of American Fork, chairman of the Home and Community section of the , Utah Farm Bureau, said Wednesday. Fifty-three from Utah attended, the largest representation outside of t Wyoming, the host state. The , theme, "When We Build, Let Us Build Forever" was well presented j by discussion groups, with leaders of . the various states participating. Utah received outstanding recognition, recog-nition, Mrs. Mower reported. 1 Ward C. Holbrook, president of the , Utah State Farm Bureau, presided i at one 6f the sessions, and participated partici-pated in two discussions. Mrs. E. B. Maughan, of Providence, Utah, won second place in a very close public speaking contest. The subject sub-ject was "Better Schools for Rural America". Contestants came from Wyoming, Washington, Montana and Utah. Mrs. Mary K. Mower, state chairman chair-man of the Home and Community section, addressed the associated women of the regional conference and participated in the panel discussion: dis-cussion: "What Should Farmers Aim to Accomplish Through Organization?" Organ-ization?" D. R. Jones, president of the Utah County Farm Bureau, attended at-tended the conference. |
