Show Pleasant Grove Locals Mr. and Mrs. William . Freeman this week went to the Weber river for a few days' fishing trip. Milton Adamson will return from the sheepherd for a week-end visit here. Miss Doris Peay spent the weekend week-end visiting her aunt, Mrs. Emily Royle of Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Shoell and Mrs. Gerald Watkins were Salt Lake City visitors Wednesday. i The annual Sunset rally of the Manila ward will be held Sunday, July 10, M. I. A. officers have announced. an-nounced. H. E. Johnson is attending summer sum-mer school at the Utah State Agricultural Agri-cultural college at Logan. Miss Viola West has been ill for the past week. Her many friends wish for her recovery. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Warnick and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick visited with Mrs. C. P. Warnick and Miss Effie Warnick at Provo Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Baird of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick War-nick and family enjoyed an outing at Saratoga Thursday. Visitors at the J. P. Fugal home this week were Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Gardner of Afton, Wyoming. Mr. Gardner returned to Afton, while Mrs. Gardner remained for a longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. Justin Peay of Magna Mag-na and Mr. and Mrs. Angus Wilson visited this week with Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Wilson. Merrill N. Warnick and Charles Warnick made a business trip to Tremonton Wednesday. Irene and Robert Warnick accompanied them as far as Ogden, where they visited with friends. Kenneth Flygare, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Flygare of Provo, returned re-turned home Wednesday after spending a week with his aunt, Mrs. Milton Adamson. Ensign Vernon Hayes, who recently recent-ly was graduated from the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, visited Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Johnson Tuesday. Tues-day. Mr. Hayes, a son of Dr. Murray O. Hayes of Washington, D. C, was on his way to Seattle, where he will go on duty for graduate work, on the U. S. S. Oklahoma. Dr. Hayes is a former resident of Pleasant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. George Peay visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Horace Beal. Mr. and Mrs. Vilace Radmall are the proud parents of a baby boy, born Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Johnson of Chicago, who have been visiting here, left for their home Thursday, j I Mrs. J. P. Fugal is reported to be improving at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake City. It is hoped that she I may be able to return soon. Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hilton returned return-ed this week from Bicknell, in south- ' ern Utah, where they visited with Mrs. Mary Brinkerhoff. Miss Lorraine Peterson of Copper-ton Copper-ton arrived in Pleasant Grove Wednesday Wed-nesday night for a ten days' visit with Margaret Atwood at the F. D. Atwood home. The Manila ward will hold its ; three-day canyon outing at Mutual Dell, July 7, 8, and 9. An interesting program of events is being prepared by the M. I. A. officers, under direction direc-tion of Mrs. Effie Adams and Alex Wadley. The Pleasant Grove Third ward went to Mutual Dell Thursday for a three-day stay. Ward day will be held today, and all ward members are urged to attend the activities. Msr. J. M. Macfarlane and Joseph Walker are in charge. A reunion of the descendants of J. G. Johnson was held Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon and evening at the home of President and Mrs. M. S. Christiansen. Christian-sen. The afternoon and evening were enjoyably spent at a dinner and in social chat. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Johnson and family of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis J. Singleton and family and Roger Johnson of Los Angeles; Mrs. J. G. Johnson, and the Christiansens. Christian-sens. In honor of Mr. and Mrs. Leon ; Wright and family of Twin Falls, a canyon party was held Sunday of last week. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wright of American Fork, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Wright and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin ' Walker and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. Wright and family. |
