Show I Our Flag The following poem, appropriate for Washington's birthday, was written writ-ten by Mrs. Henry Droubay of Tooele, mother of Mrs. LeRoy Hampshire of this city: OLR FLAG Like an eagle flying upwards Under a clear blue sky, Our flag is unfurled. To tell the world She stands for you and I. Her stars are states united Her stripes have symbols too Of light and love Lit from above Protecting me and you. We are proud to honor you Our flag without a stain In war or peace, May love increase To let Old Glory reign. When war clouds gather there, Far across the sea, Long may you wave, Our land to save That stands for Liberty. Mrs. Henry Droubay, Tooele |
