Show Alpine News Mrs. Leonard Bates, Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Forbes left Sunday for their home in Las Vegas. Nevada, after a visit with Mr. Forbes parents. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the funeral serv- ices for Joseph T. Bateman, held in the Alpine ward chapel Friday afternoon af-ternoon under the direction of Bishop E. W. Burgess. Mr. George A. Brown returned Monday evening from a business trip to Denver. Mrs. John Q. Adams and children are visiting with Mrs. Adams' sister in California. Mrs. Eva Adams and daughter of Salt Lake City, were Sunday guests of Mrs. A. J. Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar A. Kirkham and two daughters of Salt Lake City visited the M. I. A. Tuesday evening. Elder Kirkham discussed the benefits bene-fits of true scouting and character building. The Daughters of the Pioneers will reorganize at a meeting in the Relief Society rooms Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. Members of the County Board will be present. Our little community was very much shocked and grieved when word was received Sunday morning of the death of Reed Wilkin of Lehi, a former resident of Alpine. Death came following a short illness of pneumonia. Funeral services were held at Lehi Tuesday afternoon, a large number of Alpine people In attendance. |
