Show Cleaners Organize The first annual convention of the Utah State Association of Cleaners and Dyers, was held Sunday Sun-day afternoon at the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. Thirty-one Thirty-one cleaners and Dyers from Salt Lake, Ogden, Logan, Provo, Price, Murray, American Fork and Nephi, were present. Ray Ellison of the local cleaning and dyeing establishment estab-lishment was among them. Among the business items given consideration was the election of officers and the adoption of a code of ethics. After some corrections and reservations, the code, arranged by the Salt Lake group was agreed to, the primary object of the code being to improve working condit- ions for employees, to create more employment and to eliminate unfair un-fair competition. This set of rules will be sent to the national organization at Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, which considers similar sim-ilar codes from other state organizations organ-izations and from all these suggestions sugges-tions a national code is to be J adopted. |
