Show Three-Stake M. I. A. Dell Institute Opens Saturday Over one hundred M. I. A. stake and ward workers of Alpine, Lehi and Timpanogcs stakes will assemble assem-ble at Mutual Dell in American Fork canyon tomorrow for the annual recreational institute. This gathering gather-ing opens the camp for the summer season. The day's program opens at 10 o'clock a. m. with the Lehi stake in charge. Mrs. Meiling and Miss Clare Wells, both graduates of the B. Y. U., of the Physical Education department, will conduct outdoor group activities until noon. During the noon luncheon period, of which the Lehi stake also is in charge. Mrs. Katie C. Jensen of the M. I. A. general board, Salt Lake, will conduct con-duct activities suitable for meal-time gatherings. The Alpine stake will assume charge of the group for the afternoon. after-noon. The officers have planned a J short nature study hike under the direction of Scout Executive A. A. Anderson of Provo. -During the evening meal the Alpine Al-pine stake wall conduct a program entirely of Irish suggestion. Irish i toasts, stories, songs and stunts will be given by the six wards of the stake. The evening program around the campfire, is planned by the Tim-panogos Tim-panogos stake and promises to be a very interesting affair. As announced an-nounced last week there will be firefighting ceremonials, dramatization dramatiz-ation of the canyon spirit, readings, read-ings, violin and vocal" numbers. Coach Ott Romney of the B. Y. U. will foe the speaker. The American Fork Second ward will be the first group to occupy the Dell. They leave next Monday morning and return the Thursday noon following. Under the newly adopted Alpine stake plan, the wards will each have a full three land one -half days in camp. The I Third ward leaves for the Dell next Thursday noon and will vacate the camp the following Monday morning, July 3rd. The Fourth ward will go up that morning and return the noon of July 6th. Alpine follows from July 6th to Monday morning, July 10th. . Highland ward has been allotted from July 10th to Thursday noon, July 13th, and the First ward ends Alpine stake's turns, having from July 13th noon to Monday a. m. July 17. Alpine stake officers are suggesting suggest-ing that all wards make the hike to Mount Timpanogos this year having the advantage of the season now. |
