Ten Years Ago Now Richard Mitchell, who has been a resident of this city for over 50 years, passed away at his home here last Friday night after an illness of long duration. The Third ward chapel was filled to capacity Monday afternoon for the services of which George Abel was in charge. Ten Years Ago Now Owing to the unfavorable weather conditions and the improvements not being quite complete the opening of Mutual Dell, scheduled for Monday morning, June 25th, has been postponed post-poned one week. The Lindon First ward will be the first to occupy the Dell this season. I Ten Years Ao Now ' Mrs. C. M. Beck sustained a badly injured left eye last Saturday morn-ing morn-ing when a bottle of fruit she was .opening broke in her hands and a piece of clais lew up and cut the ,6ye' ' t Ten Years Ago Nqw 1 Miss Myrtle Cunningham, daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Jennie Cunningham, was united in marriage Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple to Mr. Clifton A. jTalboe of Provo. On this same day two other brothers of Mr. Talboe were married in the temple. It Is stated this is the first triple marriage ;to be performed in the temple of tho church. Ten Years Ago Now ; The electric light meter was i knocked from the wall at the home of Roy Dudley east of town during the electrical storm about 5 o'clock , Friday morning. No other damage was done and no one was hurt. Ten Years Ago Now Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Rusnon and children have returned to American I Fork after an absence of six months in Nevada and California where Mr. Russon has been employed. Ten Years Ago Now A reunion of the Moyle family was held in Alpine Thursday of last week at the old Moyle homestead 1 near the rock tower. There were 150 'present. Ten Years Ago Now Misses Sarah Parker, Josle Green-v.ood Green-v.ood and Velma Shelley left Friday (lor Berkeley, California, where they I will take a six weeks' course of summer sum-mer school at the university there. Miss Merle Chipman also has enrolled enroll-ed for school there. |
