Show American Fork High School News Vivian Jorgenseb, Reporter. The school play "Peg Of My Heart" by J. Hartly Manners was read Thursday afternoon by Miss Lois Jordan. Try-outs for the play will be held Monday, October 21. Faculty Gives Program At the weekly assembly held Wednesday, Dr. A. N. Merrill of the j B. Y. U. gave a very spleridid talk on "Controls". Mr- Moffat, head of the research work of the Provo school was also in attendance. Other num. bers on the program were: two solos by Rudolph Clark and a selection by the Male Glee, Covettes Club Organized In a meeting held recently the following officers were elected for the Covettes Club: Grace Parker, president; Reva Roberts, secretary; Berniece Wilds, yell master. The aim of this club is to promote enthusiasm en-thusiasm for all athletic activities. Home Economics Club Initates New Members The Home Economics Club of the High School initiated thirty new members Friday, October 4. A social so-cial was held in the evening at wl-iir.h the eirls participated in ini- tiation rites, after which they enjoyed en-joyed light refreshments. Homemaking Class Visits Logan The Homemaking class, under the direction of Mrs. Carlson, visited at Logan Saturday, October 5. The object ob-ject of their trip was to see in operation opera-tion some of the modern labor-sav. ing devices Hised in the Practice Cottage at the U. A. C They also visited the Budge Memorial Hospital, where they made observations which will prove very beneficial in their study of home nursing- |
