Mr- and Mrs. Arch Peterson and son are leaving this evening (Saturday) (Satur-day) for Rupert, Idaho, where Mr. Peterson will take over the management manage-ment of the Gents Furnishing and Shoe departments in it-he Liberty National Chain store there. They 'will make their home in Rupert. Mr. Peterson has been formerly employ, ed at the Chimpan Mercantile Co. and has a host of friends and associates associ-ates wishing him continued success. A clever one-act play entitled "I Will Contribute Each Day To The Honor And Happiness Of My Home" was staged by the following Third Ward Gleaner girls and M Men on the Third Ward Mutual preliminary program Tuesday evening: Misses Sylvia Shipley, Lucretia Ashby, Violet Vio-let Birk and Eli K- Clayson. The play's title is the Gleaner and M Men sheaf for this year. A delightful social event of the past week was held last Friday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. E. J. Wilde, the occasion being her birthday. Progressive Pro-gressive "Bunco" was the feature of entertainment, Mrs. Jarvis Aydelotte receiving high score prize and Mrs. L. A. Adamson the colsolation favor. A delicious supper was served early in the evening . to the following guests: Mesdames Thomas Codding-ton, Codding-ton, Lawrence Briggs, L. A. Adam-son, Adam-son, T. A. Greenwood, Jarvis Aydelotte, Ayde-lotte, Martin Nielsen, Frank Gais-ford, Gais-ford, Stanford Wilde of this city, Mrs. Frank White of Provo, and Mrs. Ed Larsen of Lehi. The hostess was presented with many beautiful gifts. Dr. and Mrs. P. M. Kelly of St. Anthony, Idaho, and son, Howard, who has been laboring in California as an L. D. S- missionary, visited the latter part of last week in American Fork with frientls and relatives. The Kelly family were former residents of this city. In honor of the birthdays of Miss Irene Johnston and Miss Afton Beck, a party was held Saturday evening at the home of Miss Ber-niece Ber-niece Wilde. Progressive games were enjoyed during the evening, Miss Johnston winning the main prize, ! after which delicious refreshments j were served. The Bee Orchis ladies were delightfully de-lightfully entertained Thursday after, noon at the home of Mrs. G. S. Richards. Rich-ards. A wealth of roses, dahlias and marigolds were employed in the house decoration. Progressive "Spoof" was the central feature of entertainment, Mrs. Bert Timpson winning first prize and Mrs. Elwyn Wride the second favor. A delicious three course luncheon was served early in the evening. There were sixteen present. The Ladies Literary Association held their monthly meeting Thursday Thurs-day afternoon at the home of Mrs. J. L. Firmage, who with Mrs. William Will-iam Chipman, were hostesses. The afternoon was devoted altogether t0 music. Mrs. j. T. Wootten of Salt Lake furnished vocal and instrumental instrumen-tal selections and Mrs. Firmage rendered ren-dered two vocal solos. A special feature was the intertainment given by Diona DeUicy, who was the late Caruso's pianist. Many of the selec tions rendered by him were his own compositions.
