Show Local Committee Confers At Provo On WPA Work W P A projects feasible for American Amer-ican Fork to sponsor include sidewalk, side-walk, streets and curb and gutter improvements, a delegation from the city learned at a meeting Wednesday Wednes-day with Ben Beveridge, county WPA director. Mayor Albert Tregaskis, Councilman Council-man William S. Storrs, Ray Ellison, A. F. Christensen and James Tatter -sall, Frank Peterson, Merlin Jones, Tom Walters, Morley Steele and A. F. Gaisford conferred with Mr. Beveridge Bev-eridge to learn the type of projects desirable, and the methods of drawing draw-ing them up. The group was Informed In-formed that many street and walk improvements could be made at reduced re-duced cost through WPA, but the sponsor would have to bear a share of the cost. The delegation also met with the county commission with a view to securing improvement of the lake road. They also investigated the possibility of using the county gravel crusher and equipment on projects here. |
