Show Eli K. Clayson of Provo visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eli J. Clayson Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford E. Young and daughter Miriam and Mr. and Mrs. William Chipman left Wednesday Wednes-day on a two weeks' motor trip to California. They will visit Southern California and, en route home, will travel to San Francisco to see the World's Fair. Gleaner Girls of the First ward held another "Comradery" at the home of their leader, Mrs. Leo G. Meredith, Tuesday evening. The girls worked on the "Treasures of Truth" books, which they are making mak-ing of wood and decorating. Ten girls were present. W. D. Petty, wholesale salesman of the B F. Goodrich company in the Salt Lake area of the Denver District, Dis-trict, who has American Fork in his territory and is widely known in automotive circles here, is the leading lead-ing salesman in the Denver District for the year of 1938 and is one of the leaders in the company's nationwide nation-wide sales force, W. C. Bromley, assistant district manager, has been advised from the principal head- quarters m Akron, unio. Petty won first place and a substantial sub-stantial cash prize in competition against all other members of the district sales staff and others in districts throughout the country in the Trade Expansion Program just closed. He has also been awarded a Master Merchandiser plaque and pin. ' |
