Losses Loss-es by fire in the city limits was only $16.00. The fire department attribute our small losses to five things: 1. Good equipment and quick response re-sponse of firemen. 2. Proper schooling and training i of firemen. 3. Proper yearly inspection of public pub-lic buildings by. firemen. 4. The fire prevention program put on by the fire department. 5. Cooperation of the public. Property involved by fire in the county m the district covered by Pleasant Grove department was $12,200.00 with losses of $2,071.00. The cause for heavier loss in the county is usually lack of water supply, sup-ply, slow alarms and long runs. Attention was called to a few people peo-ple who insist on burning rubbish after 3 p. m. in the fire limits. This is an unlawful practice. Bon fires I may be made from 6 a. m. to 3 p. m. in fire limits. We ask you to try to cooperate with us and live up to the law, said Fire Chief Kemp. n |
