Mrs. Donald Noble and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Noble have been visiting at Pocatollo, Idaho, with Jesse Link, John and Fanny Noble and Archie Noble for the past two weeks. Richards at her home in American Fork on Monday, the occasion oc-casion being her birthday. Picnic luncheon was served and a jolly time reported by all. W. I. Mrs. Millie Poulson and daughter, Lucille, went to Provo Monday evening even-ing to bear Gene Poulson read the play "The Fool" at the Little Theatre of the B. Y. II. Ti e reading of a play Is part of Gene's course in Dramatic Art. Ruben Olson of Caiifornia, is visiting visit-ing with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Olson. He will visit with relatives in American Fork and at other Utah and Idaho points before returning home. He states that this is the first snow he has seen since he lfet Utah eight years ago. Tuesday in Mutual during the preliminary pre-liminary exercises at the Manila ward, Beehive awards of all Beehives and and merit badges were given to Elva Eaves, Winifred Farr and Ber-nice Ber-nice Warnick. Baxter in honor of Miss Dona Baxter during the Mr. and Mrs. J. 0. Clark and son, J- 0., Jr., accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. U". H. Adams took an auto trip down thru southern Utah on Friday, February 22. They visited friends' and relatives in Fountain Green, Moroni Mo-roni and Mt. Pleasant. On returning home the other members of Mr. Adam's family gathered at his home and prepared a sumptuous supper in honor of his 64th birthday. Table decorations were in red, white and blue. The Sunshine committee of the Second Ward Relief Society held a social Wednesday afternoon in honor of Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Humphries. The afternoon was spent in a program and social chat. West were j pleasantly surprised Friday evening I by a number of neighbors and friends who came with a picnic luncheon and en joyed, the evening at the West home. The family of Mrs. J. S. Holdaway gave a very successful surprise party in her honor Thursday evening it being be-ing her birthday. The games were very unique and very much enjoyed. A delicious tray luncheon was served to about thirty guests. Nels Fenton had the misfortune Wednesday, when returning from the Postoffice to fall on the slippery pave ment. He struck his head and cut a deep gash in his foruhead. He was shook up in the fall, but was about his work as usual Thursday. Mrs. Bazil Walker had the misfortune mis-fortune while washing last week to get her hair caught in the electric wringer. A large handful of hair was pulled out before Mrs. Walker could stop the machine. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Adams were pleasantly surprised on Sunda.v hv week. A number of the Pleasant Grove firemen and their wives will attend the Utah-Juab Co. fireniens convention conven-tion at Eureka Sunday. Mrs. Annie Mills recently returned from the L. D. S. Hospital. She is at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. L. Smith, who will take care of her until she is able to go to her own home. |
