Show j :First Ward Play "Surefire" Postponed 'Until Sat. and Mon., March 9 and 11 "Surefire," the three-act comedy being presented by the American Fork First ward, has been posponcd until Saturday and Monday, March 9th and 11th, at which time it will be staged in the First ward chapel, with a matinee Saturday. Rehearsals are well under way, and the splendid cast selected are all doing their best to mold the play towards to-wards perfection. The plot centers around a young author who has failed for five years to write a successful play. Because of his failures, his fiancee breaks their engagement. He accepts a suggestion sug-gestion of a brother playwright rind migrates to a small town, where he eats, drinks and sleeps atmosphere. The amusing situations which occur during his adventures create the comedy of the play. Clarence Grant, plays the role of Robert Ford, the author, and Miss Ia Rae Buckwalter is the charming young woman he meets during his adventures, who captures his heart, and makes him forget, his fiancee, played by Mildred Dunkley. The other characters are all First ward favorites. No one can afford to miss this play. It's different!! "Tabby and Bun" will furnish musical entertainment between acts. |
