Show Two Large Snow Slides In American Fork Canyon Two large snow slides have occurred oc-curred in American Fork Canyon according ac-cording to E. J. Swenson who made a trip to the Pacific on skis ten days ago. He reported the first slide is just above the cave camp where snow is piled fifty feet high. The other is at mile rock, between South Fork and Deer Creek. Here the slide has a width of several rods, having hav-ing taken out four poles along the telephone line. The snow depth at that time was five feet at the Dutchman flat and five and one half feet at the Pacific. (Considerable snow has fallen since then and the depth should be a foot or so more than this. i |
