Show Stake Road Show Is Big Success "The Heart of Timpanogos," original origi-nal one-act play written and directed by Miss Jewel Linebaugh, and played by -members of the Pleasant Grove-First Grove-First ward M. I. A., and "Sweethearts," "Sweet-hearts," by the American Fork First Ward M. I. A., were declared the winners win-ners in the tri-stake road show contest con-test presented Saturday evening in the Cameo Theatre. Tho tliespians all played their roles in a first class manner to a fairly good sized audience, who were enthusiastic in their praises for the I clever acts presented. I The "Heart of Tiinpnnogos" cast 'was as follows: King, Alton Clark; queen, Cynthia ,U'irnon; mother, MrH. El wood Baxter; happiness, Rulon lirinihall, Lovell Gamelf, Roland Jacobs; religion, Ruth Olpin; page. Kale Linebaugh; Accompanist, Helen Galium; Li. "Sweethearts" had as their setting a heart shaped valentine. The cast Included hc following: Reader and singer, Ray Shelley; school day girl, Mary Bennett; old fashioned girls, Ujraino Boley and Mabel Boley; Modern maid, Mrs. Verna Werner; Dream girl, Moselle Cunningham; mother, Mrs. John Ovard; cupids, Virginia Vir-ginia McOrew and Irene Shelley. I The other contestants were Manila, I "Father Time Gift"; American Fork Fourth ward, "Spirit of the Home," and American Fork Third ward, "Old j Fashioned Garden." The following i schedule represents the points won. P. G. First COS points. A. F. First 574 points. A. F. Fourth 573 points. Manila and A. F. Third tied with 523 points. Some very splendid musical and reading numbers interspersed the various acts. The whole show was pronounced a splendid success by ' everyone present. |
