Show o Reed Hales Meets Wtih Painful Accident Reed Hales 22, son of Mrs. Mary Hales of the Windsor ward met with a very painful accident Monday noon. He had driven his cattle to water at the canal near the home of Edmund Cragun and was trying to return home when one of Mr. Cragun's horses got into his herd. While attempting at-tempting to drive it out his horse threw up its head in such a way to hit Reed and render him unconscious. He fell fromi the horse onto a pile of sharp stones and lay there unconscious unconsc-ious for about one-half hour. His brother, Don, went to the telephone tele-phone at the home of Edmund Cragun and called a doctor. Mrs. Cragun aided the boy in securing other help which went at once to the Hales home. Forty-two stitches were taken in his head, six of which were in the inner covering of the head. He is reported to be in a very serious condition. |
