Show Utah County Farm Bureau Outing Planned For August 13 and 14 The annual Utah County Farm Bureau outing will be held this year at Vivian Park in Provo canyon. August 13 and 14, these dates being approved at a, meeting of the Executive Execu-tive committee of the county farm bureau, Tuesday night. An a'dded inovation in the way of a bonfire party, the night before the outing has been suggested this year and may be carried out. The committee wias enlarged to include the following people in addition addi-tion to the chairman: Mrs. Ivan Burr, Timpanogos; W. J. Thayne, county agent; Fred Bradley, American Fork; S. D. Morgan, Spanish Fork; Ivern Payne, Orem; Clyde Gillman, Lin'don. This committee is representative of all the cooperative organizations "of the county. A report submitted by Eli J. Clay-son, Clay-son, president of the farm bureau, concerning the status of the farm bureau tax (program, showed that many of the county organizations in the state have not paid in their quota quo-ta for the tax fund. The entire agricultural ag-ricultural tax program will be presented pre-sented to the state tax commission In the near future, he stated. Utah County farmers are urged to attend the annual farmers' encampment encamp-ment at Logan, July 15 to 18. o Mr. and Mrs. Frank Humphries aud family visMed in Eureka Sundiy with relatives. Morrison, were dinner guests of Captain JJoyd Duff-in Duff-in and Lieutenant-Oolonel Clawson at Camp Williams, located at the Jordan Narrows, Monday evening. Sam Gottfried and Joe Marshall of the Gottfried & Marshall Co. of New York and Lester Terry and George Larsen of Salt Lake City, their representatives rep-resentatives in Utah and Idaho, were dinner guests of Adolphus and tfohn Pulley Poultry Day at the Grant Hotel. Mrs. James Julian entertained at dinner Thursday evening in honor ol Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greenwood ol Los Angeles, California, who are hero visiting relatives. Covers were laid for twelve including members oi the immediate family and the following follow-ing invited guests, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Greenwood and Mrs. James A. Crystall. |
