Show o Former Local Young Man Brought Here From Salt Lake For Burial Howard McCullough, 27, prominent promin-ent young business man of Salt ;Lake City and a former resident of this city, was brought here for burial Sunday, June 23. He passe'd away at the family residence June 19, following fol-lowing ten weeks of illness, during which time he suffered with typhoid fever followed by meningitis. About three weeks ago he was considered entirely out of danger and was on the roa!d to recovery, when he took a sudden relapse, which resulted in his death June 19. Impressive funeral services were held in the Salt Lake Third "Ward after which he was brought to the American Fork cemetery for interment. inter-ment. Bishop hot Robinson of the Fourth ward presided at the graveside grave-side ceremonies, which consisted of a vocal duet "Sometime We'll Understand" Under-stand" by William Elsmore and daughter, Guelda, accompanie'd. by Miss Ann Clayson on the violin, and short remarks by Bishop Robinson. W. A. McCullough of Provo gave the dedicatory prayer. A large funeral procession accompanied the body to American Fork, and the beautiful floral offereings, which decked the grave, were (profuse and many. The young man was born in this city, March 6, 1902, the son of H. S. and Elizabeth Cunningham McCullough. McCull-ough. When he was fourteen-years-old the family moved to Salt Lake City, where they have since resided. He was a graduate of the- L. D. S. college and a student of the University Univer-sity of Utah. At the time of his illness ill-ness he was employed as an automobile automo-bile salesman, through which avenue he gained many friends, who, with his many relatives, grieve his death. Surviving are his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. W. H. Preston of this city, Mrs. H. J. Burman, Laston, Eve, Jennie, Clifford, Clif-ford, Nellie, Dick and Lorraine' Mc Cullough of Salt Lake City. |
