Show American Fork Locals Mr. and Mrs. Owen Humphries motored to Tooele Sunday, whero. they spent the flay visiting relatives. Visitors Poultry Day at the home of M'r. and Mrs. James W. Johnston were: Mrs. William Stonebraker of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Howe of Murray. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Gaisford accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and Mrs. Waitoi L. Gaisford of Salt Lake City, arrived ar-rived home last Friday evening from a two weeks trip through California and Mexico. They report a wonderful wonder-ful time. Word was receive'd the first of the week by Mrs. James Julian that hei daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Buchanan, arrived in Seattle, Washington, i Sunday. They will spend the summer months there visit ing with Mr. Buchanan's mother. An interesting social event of the week was the piano recital given Friday Fri-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Johnston by their daughter, Helen. Miss Johnston's selections were all memorized arid she gave a pleasing variety of numbers, num-bers, which were much enjoyed by the guests. She is a student of Miss Melva Boyle of Provo. The selections selec-tions given were as follows: "Black Forest Clock", Goodnight Song", fBalldef, '"The Pearls', "Flower Song," "Hallowe'en", Sleigh Ride" the latter a duet by Mrs. Johnston -and Helen. Refreshments were served following the program. The guests included in-cluded the following: Mrs. John Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Henriod, Francis Fran-cis and Mary Abel, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Ben-jamin Brown, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Hawkins, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Faddis, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Giddings and daughter, Irene, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Holindrake and daughter, Katherine, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Devey and daughter, daugh-ter, Helen, Mr. arid Mrs. S. T. Shelley and daughter, Sarah, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wralker and daughter, Grace, Miss Lenore Crookston and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hindley. |
