Ten Years Ago Now Six hundred and ninety one persons per-sons visited Timpanogos Cave in American Fork canyon on July 4th according to a report made by V. N. West, ranger. This is a new attendance attend-ance record for one day, the largest, for last year being 500. Ten Years Ago Now . The Alpine stake M. I. A. Borvrd has appointed committees who ar arranging a big july 24th celebration at Mutual Dell in the canyon, Ten Years Ago Now Principal P. M. Nielsen of American Ameri-can Fork, was elected superintendent of the Tooele County school at a meeting of the Board of Education there Monday. There were twelve applicants for the position which was given Mr. Nielsen by unanimous vote of the board. He has been principal of the American Fork High School for the past seven years. Ten Years Ago Now The consolidated Wagon and Machine Ma-chine Co. is closing its branch house in American Fork this week. The local manager, Bernard Christen sen, expects to remain with the company for a time at least. Chipman Merc. Co. has purchased much of the stock. Ten Tears Ago Now Ray, the 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Faddics was injured Tuesday while returning home from jWork on a farm north of town. He was thrown from a truck as it round-,ed round-,ed a corner and broke his right collar ; bone. Ten Years Ago Now Mrs. Wm. Robinson, wife of the old mail carrier of this city, fell at her home while carrying bedding and sustained a partial fracture of the right hip. Ten Years Ago Now Ray, son of Mrs. Minnie Pulley, severely injured his right wrist on July 4th while playing with friends in Manila. Ten Years Ago Now Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Peterson of Alpine are rejoicing over the arrival of a boy, born Wednesday. Ten Years Ago Now Mr. and Mrs. A. Ray Olpin (Miss Elva Chipman) are the proud parents par-ents of a winsome daughter, bom I Thursday. |
