Show Alpine Stake Completes Dell Outings The last of the Alpine stake M. 1. A. outings at Mutual Dell, the M. I. A. summer camp in American Amer-ican Fork canyon, will be brought to a close early next Monday morning morn-ing when the First ward members return. This gffoup left Thursday noon and are enjoying themselves to the utmost degree according to reports coming down the canyon. To-day (Friday) is ward day and an interesting program of events is scheduled. This morning at 10 o'clock there will be a stunt program, pro-gram, this afternoon a baseball game and horse shoe tourney and tonight a big ward program. Not only is some of the best talent of the ward included but talent from other parts of the city and Provo as well. I Tomorrow the hikers leave at daylight for the summit of Timp. The afternoon's program will be under the direction of Mrs. E. Ray Gardner and Mrs. A. W. Clyde with readings and stories as features. fea-tures. The day's program will end with a campfire entertainment at night. Miss Arvilla Clark and a group of about fifteen singers and dancers of Pleasant Grove will give a special firelighting ceremonial, and the balance of the program will be provided by the recreation leader of Camp F-5, the re-fore-station camp in American Fork canyon, and will include readings, vocal and instrumental selections from among these young men. The Sunday services have been well outlined. Sidney B. Sperry, former L. D. S. Seminary teacher of American Fork, now at Provo, will be the speaker for the Sunday morning services commencing at 10 o'clock. Milton Brown will play a violin selection. Sunday evening the speaker will be Dr. Charles E. Weidermann of the University of Nebraska, Professor Pro-fessor of educational administration, administra-tion, who is a visiting instructor at the B. Y. U. this summer. Dr. Weidermann will illustrate his talk with the use of various musi-jcal musi-jcal instruments, home made from bits of glass, rubber tubes, parts, paste board, etc. The B. Y. U. quartet under the direction of Mar-.ii-et Summerhays will furnish vocal music. The Fourth ward group, which occupied the Dell the forepart of last week reports a bigger and better bet-ter time than ever. Between seventy seven-ty and one hundred were at the Dell for the outing aside from ward families camped on the grounds. The programs were particularly par-ticularly successful and everyone returned in high spirits from the ,iitr vha Alninp n.nd Highland . wards have been at the Dell since . the Fourth ward returned.
